Nintendo constantly aims to improve the functionality of its systems and services in order to provide the easiest, most user-friendly experience possible. As a part of these efforts, we are making Nintendo Switch system updates available for download via the internet.

Performing the System Update:
In most situations, the Nintendo Switch console will automatically download the most recent system update while it is connected to the internet. You can verify your current system version and manually start the update from the System Settings menu if necessary.
Important:
If you are unable to perform the system update, restart your console and try again.

- Fixed an issue where some wireless access points could not be found when setting up a new wireless network.
- If you’re unable to update to Version 18.0.1 because of the issue, temporarily change the security settings for your wireless network to use only WPA2 (AES) so that you can connect wirelessly to download and install the system update.
- After updating to Version 18.0.1, restore your network’s previous security settings.
- General system stability improvements were made to enhance the user's experience.
