How to Create a Suspend Point in Nintendo Switch Online Classic Games

Instructions on how to save your game progress on Nintendo Switch Online classic games by creating a Suspend Point.
Additional Information:
- An active Nintendo Switch Online membership is required to access Nintendo Entertainment System™ – Nintendo Switch Online and Super Nintendo Entertainment System™ – Nintendo Switch Online games.
- An active Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership is required to access Nintendo 64™ – Nintendo Switch Online and SEGA Mega Drive – Nintendo Switch Online games.
Important:
If playing multiplayer, player 1 will be the one navigating the menu and making the desired selections.
Complete These Steps:
- While in a game in one of the Nintendo Switch Online classic game libraries, press ZL + ZR* to open the Suspend Menu, then select "Create Suspend Point".
- Select an available save slot to store your game progress.
- Once saved, the selected slot will display the timestamp when the Suspend Point was created.
- If all four save slots are already in use, you can save your new game progress over an existing Suspend Point. Keep in mind that, once save data has been overwritten, it cannot be recovered.
