Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers are a special offer available to Nintendo Switch Online members. Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers can be purchased in a set of two. Each individual voucher can be redeemed for a selected Nintendo Switch digital software title.

Users with an active, paid Nintendo Switch Online membership (individual or family) are eligible to purchase and redeem vouchers. If your Nintendo Switch Online membership ends before you redeem a voucher, you will still be able to use the voucher as long as you begin a new membership before the voucher expires.

Yes. Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers are redeemable for one year from the date of purchase and don’t have to be used at the same time.

You can see your available, unused Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers in the Nintendo Switch Online section of your Nintendo Account Shop Menu, where each individual voucher will be listed along with its expiry date. You can view your voucher purchase and use history from the Purchase History menu on accounts.nintendo.com.

Yes. You will receive Gold Points when you purchase a set of Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers, but you will not receive additional Gold Points when you redeem a voucher on a game.

Yes. All games that you purchase by redeeming Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers will still be available to play even if your Nintendo Switch Online membership expires.

Sets of two Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers became available for purchase starting on 16 May 2019. They can be redeemed within a year from the date of purchase.

Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers can be purchased in sets of two on Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch or on the official Nintendo website.

1. Access Nintendo eShop using a Nintendo Account with an active, paid Nintendo Switch Online membership.
   • Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers can only be redeemed by the same Nintendo Account that was used to purchase them.
2. Select Nintendo Switch Online in the left menu to view available special offers.
3. Select Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers to view details of the offer.
4. Select Proceed to Purchase.
5. Select your payment method and enter payment details as needed.
6. Select Confirm Purchase to complete the purchase.

Yes. You cannot have more than eight active vouchers at a time. If you have seven or eight unused vouchers, you will be able to purchase another set after you use one or two of them.

No. Once purchased, vouchers cannot be refunded or exchanged for any other item.

No. Vouchers can only be redeemed by the same Nintendo Account that was used to purchase them.

Yes. You must be part of an active, paid individual or family membership to redeem a voucher.

If your membership ends while you have an unused voucher, you can still use the voucher after you begin a new Nintendo Switch Online membership and before the voucher expires. The voucher expiry date will not be extended for the time you do not have an active membership.

Any game redeemed with a voucher will be available to the Nintendo Account that redeemed the voucher regardless of the user's Nintendo Switch Online membership status.

1. Access Nintendo eShop using the Nintendo Account that purchased the set of vouchers. The account must have an active, paid Nintendo Switch Online membership.
   • Vouchers can only be redeemed by the same Nintendo Account that was used to purchase them.
2. Select your user icon in the top-right corner.
3. Select Nintendo Switch Online in the left menu.
4. Select Redeem above the list of available Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers.
5. The voucher that is closest to expiring will automatically be used.
6. Select the game you wish to purchase.
7. Select Proceed to purchase the title.
   • Note: You can also choose to redeem a voucher after browsing for an eligible game on Nintendo eShop and selecting Proceed to Purchase.

Nintendo website

1. Sign in to your Nintendo Account Shop Menu using the Nintendo Account that purchased the set of vouchers. The account must have an active, paid Nintendo Switch Online membership.
   • Vouchers can only be redeemed by the same Nintendo Account that was used to purchase them.
2. Select Nintendo Switch Online to view a list of your available purchased vouchers.
3. Select Redeem a Voucher for Software.
   • The voucher that is closest to expiring will be used first.
4. Select the game you wish to use the voucher on.
5. Select Redeem Voucher.
6. Select Redeem Voucher again to confirm the redemption.
   • Note: You can also choose to redeem a voucher after searching for an eligible game you wish to purchase and selecting Redeem Voucher.

Note: A voucher cannot be used for a pre-order if it expires before the release date for the product.

Yes. As new eligible games are released or made available for pre-order, they will be added to the list of games available to be redeemed with a voucher.

No. Each voucher can be redeemed independently for a single game title.
