How to Unlink a PayPal Account from a Nintendo Account
Instructions on unlinking PayPal information that has been saved to a Nintendo Account.
Additional Information:
- Linked PayPal account information can be deleted on Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch or through your profile settings on http://accounts.nintendo.com. Deleting the information in one place will also delete it from the other.
Complete These Steps:
Do you want to unlink the PayPal account through Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch or through your Nintendo Account profile settings?
Nintendo eShopWebsite (Nintendo Account profile settings)
- Select the Nintendo eShop icon on the HOME Menu to launch Nintendo eShop.
- Select the Nintendo Account with the PayPal account that you want to unlink.
- Select the picture of your icon in the upper-right corner to access your Account Information.
- Part of the email address associated with the PayPal account will appear in the “PayPal” section. Select Unlink.
- Select Unlink again to confirm.
- Visit http://accounts.nintendo.com and sign in to your Nintendo Account.
- Select Funds and Payment Methods.
- Select Manage payment method in the "PayPal" section.
- Part of the email address associated with the PayPal account will appear in the “PayPal” section. Select Unlink.
- If a PayPal account has not been linked to the Nintendo Account, the PayPal area will say “Not set”.
- Select Unlink again to confirm.
