    How to Redeem a Nintendo Switch Game Voucher

    In this article, you'll learn how to redeem a Nintendo Switch Game Voucher.

    Important

    • An active, paid Nintendo Switch Online membership is required to redeem a Nintendo Switch Game Voucher. Users with a free trial or expired membership will not be able to purchase or redeem vouchers.

    Additional Information

    • A Nintendo Switch Game Voucher can be used to redeem a single game from a select list of titles.
    • Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers expire one year from the date of purchase.
    • The voucher that is closest to expiring will automatically be used first.
    • You can redeem a voucher on Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch or off-device.

    What to Do

    Where do you want to redeem a voucher?

    1. Access Nintendo eShop using the Nintendo Account that was used to purchase the set of vouchers. You must have an active, paid Nintendo Switch Online membership.
      • Vouchers can only be redeemed by the same Nintendo Account that was used to purchase them.
    2. Select your user icon in the top-right corner.
    3. Select Nintendo Switch Online in the left-hand menu.
    4. Select Redeem Voucher above the list of available Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers.
      • The voucher that is closest to expiring will automatically be used.
    5. Select the game you wish to purchase.
    6. Select Proceed to purchase the title.
      • Note: You can also choose to redeem a voucher after browsing for an eligible game on Nintendo eShop and selecting Proceed to Purchase.
    1. Sign in to your Nintendo Account and open the Shop Menu using the Nintendo Account that was used to purchase the set of vouchers. You must have an active, paid Nintendo Switch Online membership.
      • Vouchers can only be redeemed by the same Nintendo Account that was used to purchase them.
    2. Select Nintendo Switch Online to view a list of your available purchased vouchers.
    3. Click Redeem a Voucher for Software.
      • The voucher that is closest to expiring will be used first.
    4. Select the game you wish to use the voucher on.
    5. Click Redeem Voucher.
    6. Click Redeem Voucher again to confirm the redemption.
      • Note: You can also choose to redeem a voucher after searching for an eligible game you wish to purchase and selecting Redeem Voucher.
