How to Calibrate the Ring-Con and Leg Strap Accessories (Ring Fit Adventure)

In this article, you'll learn how to calibrate the Ring-Con and leg strap accessories for use with Ring Fit Adventure on Nintendo Switch.

Additional Information:

  • You will be prompted to calibrate the Ring-Con and leg strap accessories the first time you begin Ring Fit Adventure.
  • After the initial calibration, you can recalibrate the accessories at any time through “My Menu” in the game.
  • Please review How to Attach the Joy-Con to the Ring-Con and Leg Strap Accessories if you need help connecting the accessories.

Complete these steps

  1. At any point while playing a game mode in Ring Fit Adventure, press the B Button on the Joy-Con (R) to access “My Menu”. (This should be the Joy-Con that is attached to the Ring-Con.)
  2. Use the control stick on the Joy-Con (R) to highlight "Settings", then press the X Button to confirm.

Do you want to calibrate the Ring-Con or the leg strap?

  1. Select "Ring-Con Calibration".
  2. Select "Next".
  3. Calibrate your pressing power:
    1. Hold the Ring-Con in both hands while facing forward.
    2. Hold the left and right grips on the Ring-Con.
    3. Point the Ring-Con in front of you.
    4. Press the grips inward as hard as you can, then hold there until "OK!" appears on the screen.
  4. Select "Next".
  5. Calibrate your pulling power:
    1. Hold the Ring-Con in both hands while facing forward.
    2. Hold the left and right grips on the Ring-Con.
    3. Point the Ring-Con in front of you.
    4. Pull the grips outward as hard as you can, then hold there until "OK!" appears on the screen.
  6. Your Strength Setting will be updated automatically. Press the X Button when prompted to close the calibration process.
  1. Select "Leg Strap Settings".
  2. Select "Next".
  3. Measure your light jog:
    1. Make sure the leg strap is wrapped securely around your left thigh.
    2. Spread your feet slightly and stand up straight.
    3. Hold the Ring-Con in both hands while facing forward.
    4. Hold the left and right grips on the Ring-Con.
    5. Point the Ring-Con in front of you.
    6. Jog lightly in place until “OK!” appears on the screen.
  4. Select "Next" twice.
  5. Measure your fast jog:
    1. Make sure the leg strap is wrapped securely around your left thigh.
    2. Spread your feet slightly and stand up straight.
    3. Hold the Ring-Con in both hands while facing forward.
    4. Hold the left and right grips on the Ring-Con.
    5. Point the Ring-Con in front of you.
    6. Jog quickly in place until “OK!” appears on the screen.
  6. Your leg strap will be automatically calibrated to match your running style. Press the X Button when prompted to close the calibration screen.
