Error Message: "Software Was Forced to Shut Down" (Splatoon 2)

When selecting "Records" in the League Battle mode, the error message "Software was forced to shut down" appears, and the game closes.

What to Do:

  • This issue was corrected in a software update. Please make sure your game is updated to version 1.2.0 or later.
  • This issue will not affect your records or save data. You can continue to play League Battle and your records and rankings will still be retained.
  • You can also view your records via SplatNet 2 in the Nintendo Switch Online app.
