    Error Code: 2813-0000

    Description:

    • You're attempting to access Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch and error code 2813-0000 is displayed.
    • You're attempting to redeem a download code on Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch and error code 2813-0000 is displayed.
    • You're attempting to purchase a Nintendo Switch Online family membership and error code 2813-0000 is displayed.

    Additional Information:

    This error may occur if the Game News region does not match the country setting on your Nintendo Account when trying to access the Nintendo eShop from a link listed in the Game News.

    Important:

    You can determine the Game News' region based on the displayed language of the Game News as well as the displayed rating organization. For example, the following game rating organizations are used in these regions:

    • U.S.: ESRB
    • European Union (EU): PEGI / USK
    • Japan: CERO

    What to Do:

    When does the error occur?

    1. Verify that the country settings on your Nintendo Account are correct, then restart your console by holding down the POWER Button for three seconds, then select "Power Options" > "Restart."
    2. Start the Nintendo eShop, ensuring that the region of the Game News you are viewing matches the region settings on your Nintendo Account.
    3. If the issue persisits, visit the Network Maintenance Information / Operational Status page and check for any posted service maintenance or outages.
    4. Once the related maintenance has ended, try to purchase the game again.
      • If there is no maintenance or outage posted, attempt to make the purchase or redeem the download code at a later time.

    Situation Not Resolved:

    If the issue persists, please contact our Customer Support.

    1. Verify that the country settings on your Nintendo Account are correct, then restart your console by holding down the POWER Button for three seconds, then select "Power Options" > "Restart."
    2. Verify that you are entering your download code correctly.
      • If some characters are hard to read, try entering similar characters. (For example, a 0 may look like an 8, a 5 may look like a 2, etc).
    3. If the error persists while attempting to redeem the download code in the Nintendo eShop, try to redeem the code on https://ec.nintendo.com/redeem/#/
      1. Using a browser on a device connected to the internet, visit https://ec.nintendo.com/redeem/#/
      2. Select "Sign in" and enter your Nintendo Account e-mail address and password, and then select "Sign in" again.
        • If you are already signed in, review the user name in the top-right corner to confirm you are signed in with the correct Nintendo Account
      3. Enter your 16-digit download code and then select, "Next".
      4. Re-enter your Nintendo Account password when prompted, then select "Redeem" to complete the process.
        • A confirmation e-mail will also be sent to the e-mail address registered to your Nintendo Account once this process is completed.
      5. If the error continues, this may indicate a delay in activating certain codes. Please wait a few hours and then try again.

    Situation Not Resolved:

    If the issue persists, please contact our Customer Support.

    This error can occur when you have an active free trial Nintendo Switch Online membership and attempt to purchase a family membership.

    1. Make sure you have cancelled automatic renewal for your free trial, then try making the purchase again after the free trial ends.
    2. If you do not wish to wait for the free trial to end, please contact our Customer Support.
