    A Deleted Character Still Appears in NookLink (Animal Crossing: New Horizons)

    The information in this article will help you if a deleted character from Animal Crossing: New Horizons is still appearing in NookLink in the Nintendo Switch Online app.

    Complete these steps

    1. Once you have created a new character or island that you want to associate with NookLink, activate NookLink from the Animal Crossing: New Horizons title screen.
      1. Launch the game from the HOME Menu on your Nintendo Switch console.
      2. On the title screen, press the - Button.
      3. Select NookLink settings, then Yes, please.
    2. Launch the Nintendo Switch Online app on your smart device and link the same Nintendo Account that you are using with Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
    3. Select Animal Crossing: New Horizons to access NookLink.
    4. If the previous character is still displaying, select Settings, then Change players to manually select your current character.
