03/12/14: Pokémon Software Update v1.2
A software update is now available for Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, and the software version after this update will be 1.2. We would like to ask you to please download this software update.
- Fixes an issue where, with some game data, the game will freeze during the ending movie after the player has beaten the Elite Four.
Please note: even if you have not experienced the problem, this software update will prevent it from occurring in the future.

In some cases, you may first need to update the Nintendo 3DS system itself. To do so, please follow the on-screen instructions.
Select the Pokémon™ Omega Ruby: Update v 1.2 or Pokémon™ Alpha Sapphire: Update v 1.2 and download it. Once the download is complete, the update will automatically be applied.
Please note, this update (V1.2) is available to download directly from Nintendo eShop.
Start Pokémon Omega Ruby or Pokémon Alpha Sapphire and check that it has been updated correctly. If the version number shown is 1.2 as in the image to the right, the update has been successful.

The update data will be saved on the SD card inserted in your Nintendo 3DS system. If there is insufficient free space on the SD card, the update will not be applied successfully. You can check how much free space there is on your SD card by opening System Settings from the HOME Menu and selecting Data Management.
Please take care not to delete the update data, which can be viewed by opening System Settings → Data Management → Nintendo 3DS → Add-on Content.
