EA SPORTS™ FIFA 19 is set to deliver a champion-caliber experience on and off the pitch when it launches for Nintendo Switch on September 28th. If you want to get ready for kick-off, you can pre-order from Nintendo eShop right now!*

Here are just a few ways it’ll provide the most authentic football experience ever seen before on Nintendo Switch.

    1. New ways to play in FIFA 19

This year’s edition of FIFA includes some creative, never-before-seen changes throughout one of the game's most popular features: Kick-Off mode.

Mix it up with tons of new Game Modes like Survival – where scoring a goal means you’ll lose one of your outfield players – or Long Range, where strikes from outside the penalty area count as double. There’s even a mode where only headers and volleys count!

Random teams, winner stays on, best of five, no fouls or offsides… The new Kick-Off mode caters to all playstyles and skill levels, so everyone can enjoy the game and have a chance to become a Champion. Best of all, a deep stat tracker means you can see who’s really the best FIFA player in your group.

    2. The most prestigious club competition in the world comes to FIFA 19.

The UEFA Champions League, Europa League and Super Cup all come to life in FIFA 19, with official broadcast elements, kit badges, match balls, and of course, the iconic trophies themselves.

From live content updates in FIFA 19 Ultimate Team™, to authentic Career Mode integration, to an all-new standalone UEFA Champions League Mode, you can experience the greatest club football competition in the world no matter where you play in FIFA 19.

    3. Take on your mates in Online Friendlies

Can’t get the team together for a local multiplayer session? No worries. Head online**, invite anyone from your friend list and track your rivalry through a five-match season, both in FIFA and FIFA Ultimate Team modes.

    4. Enjoy enhanced visuals and authentic broadcast presentation

FIFA 19 on Nintendo Switch features updated HDR lighting and improved shadowing, as well as dynamic pitch degradation, so the turf wears away in real-time as your players run, jump and slide.

What’s more, with improved stadium detail and official broadcast overlay packages for the biggest leagues in the world, like the UEFA Champions League, Premier League, Bundesliga, and La Liga, the match day experience becomes even more immersive.

    5. Take aim with the new Striking Overhaul

Added shooting variety provides players with a new level of control when finishing. The striking overhaul provides the ability to better contact first time shots, drive dangerous dipping strikes, or finish with clinical finesse, giving players more options in-front of goal.

In addition, the new Timed Finishing mechanic adds a further level of control to finishing. Tap once to initiate a strike and tap again on contact, with perfectly timed strikes more likely to find their target, and poorly timed strikes more likely to miss the mark.
