In shops now: New Super Mario Bros. 2

Get ready for a brand new adventure, as New Super Mario Bros. 2 is available now for Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo 3DS XL.

Classic side-scrolling Mario action comes to Nintendo 3DS with a golden twist! Mario and Luigi are on a mission to collect one million gold coins as they run, leap and stomp through more than 80 courses. With the new Gold Flower power-up, Mario can launch Gold Fireballs that turn enemies and blocks into shimmering coins, giving you a big boost towards your target.

The new Coin Rush mode is a great way to earn coins too. Clear three courses with just one Mario, collecting as many coins as possible, and share your records with other players via StreetPass. Beat another player’s score and you’ll win their coins too!

Co-op Play means you can also share the gold-grabbing excitement with a friend by playing the entire adventure via Local Play. There are some areas you can only reach by working together, so Mario and Luigi will have to be at their best to discover hidden secrets and gather those all-important coins!
