The biggest enhancement Spider-Man 3 introduces to the franchise is using the Wii Remote to sling Spider-Man’s webs. Players will hold the B Button and then flick the Wii Remote to throw a web line. Releasing the button disengages the web. Once players advance with their skills, they can string together web lines by alternating motions with the Wii Remote and the Nunchuk controller, making Spider-Man glide through the city.
Spider-Man 3 introduces the legendary Black Suit, a suit that gives Spider-Man incredible power but also wears away at the good inside of him. At any time, players can put the Black Suit on Spider-Man; taking the suit off, however, becomes more of a challenge the more powerful the suit’s dark power becomes.
- Three criminal gangs will be competing for Spider-Man’s attention by taking hostages, stealing cars, harassing citizens, and creating havoc. As Spider-Man brings these criminals to justice, the crime rate will drop in that section of town and city life will return to normal; if he doesn’t, the streets will turn to chaos.
- Designed from the ground up, the all-new combat system empowers players to perform suit-specific attacks and combo chains to defeat their enemies and complete challenges and missions. New animations, combos and finishers make attacks more effective than ever while executing ground and air manoeuvres.
- Experience multi-stage, dynamic boss battles against the headlining villains from the movie, such as Sandman and New Goblin, as well as a host of legendary comic book foes.
- In addition to faster web-swinging, certain events and environments open up additional Spider-powers. Using Spider-Man’s web abilities, he can catch falling objects, fix hazards, barricade doors and even slingshot from the tops of buildings for increased speed and air.
