Important information

C.R.U.S.H. machine: an unusual invention that lets you explore your dreams and fears.

CRUSH™3D: an innovative new puzzle-platform game for Nintendo 3DS from SEGA and Zoë Mode which will have you thinking outside the box before you can say “splat”.

When Danny volunteered to test his friend’s strange new C.R.U.S.H. machine, he tried to prepare for an out-there experience – but nothing could prepare him for the strange contraption liking him so much that it wouldn’t let him out! Inside the machine, Danny is transported into levels made from blocks floating in space, which stretch out both horizontally and vertically... all of which are themed around his fears and worries.

Danny’s no action hero though - sure, he can jump and run, but he’s a teenager in a bathrobe - he’s in no shape to fight the bad guys that haunt the worlds of the C.R.U.S.H. machine. His only power is his ability to switch, or “crush” the perspective of the game world, flattening it from three dimensions into two dimensions, and back. As with so much in life, it’s all about how you look at things that matters.

By changing the camera view and flipping the perspective in this way, dead ends can become new pathways, bad guys can be squashed beneath blocks, platforms which were far back in the distance become part of the foreground and more. Danny can move around on his newly-created 2D side-scrolling level, and then crush the perspective back into three dimensions at will to create another new pathway. And regardless of the crushed perspective at any time, the graphics of the game are in gorgeous stereoscopic 3D, to give you a real feeling of depth as you play.

CRUSH™3D comprises over 50 levels of flabbergasting, fun-filled puzzles set over four stunning settings - your job is to guide Danny safely to the exit of each level by crushing the perspective, along the way collecting up enough of his ‘lost marbles’ to open the exit gateway itself.

On top of the marbles, there are special items (like trophies and memories) to nab, and if you cleverly bag enough of these you can unlock exclusive art, or the ability to play the level in a special challenge mode where you have a limited number of crushes! You can also trade gifts with your friends via StreetPass to earn Gift Points, which will help you unlock even more awesome bonuses.

The puzzle levels are designed to be tricky, to make you think laterally, tread carefully and experiment, but if a certain level is simply too confounding, you’ll be pleased to hear that the game also has a built-in hint system. You can get a teeny pointer, or a really blatant clue, whenever you need a hand!

Danny needs your help, he’s stuck inside the C.R.U.S.H. machine, wandering worlds made from his own worries – he needs guidance from someone with the moxie to discover the right route through the tangled worlds of his imagination. Help him out in CRUSH™3D, only on Nintendo 3DS.

  • Crush from three dimensions to two (and back) to solve puzzles
  • Play through over 50 mind-boggling levels and get to the exit door
  • Exchange gifts with friends via StreetPass to unlock extras
  • Amass collectables to access exclusive artwork and more!

You can only appreciate the 3D effect of Nintendo 3DS on the system itself. All screenshots and game footage on this site are captured in 2D mode.
