During any bout in-game the command list displays on the Touch Screen, just in case you need to refer to it mid-fight, and if you still prefer to take a laidback approach you can play in Stylish Mode, where you can execute special moves and combos with ease.
On top of the plot-based play available, there’s the option to take on a nearby friend in a bout to decide who is the most deadly fighter and several other single-player modes to keep you entertained.
Challenge Mode gives you the opportunity to perfect the characters’ special attacks and extensive combos - if you can. Abyss Mode offers an RPG-like experience, where you’ll improve your character on your descent to the bottom-most floors of the 13th Hierarchical City of Kagutsuchi. Whereas, Legion Mode is a combination of 2D fighting game and turn-based strategy challenge: it’s up to you to recruit your own army to conquer areas on the map.
With a soundtrack provided by famed composer Daisuke Ishiwatari and full voiceover to accompany gameplay this epic adventure will be a treat for the ears. But the game also features anime cutscenes by GONZO, graphics rendered in stylish manga artwork, and background stages that come into their own in stunning 3D, making it a feast for the eyes too!
