Prepare for more all-out anime action as Naruto returns to Wii in spectacular style. The third game in the Clash of Ninja Revolution series offers more thrills and spills than ever as players battle it out in offline and – for the first time – online brawls*
With over 30 characters from the Naruto Shippuden universe to choose from, a host of 3D arenas to battle in and a range of games modes to enjoy, Naruto Shippuden: Clash of Ninja Revolution 3 takes the fast and furious action of the fighting series to a new level.
Pick from the likes of Naruto, Kabuto and Orochimaru before duking it out, or take charge of Naruto’s ultimate rival, Sasuke, as you attempt to master the art of teleportation and fearsome fire-based attacks. If you can’t settle on just one character, then you can always pick two as you form your ultimate combination then try them out in relentless tag team battles with up to three other players. Over time, your roster of selectable characters will grow as you exchange currency earned in battle for new fighters.
Whichever warrior gets your vote, you’ll have to master the game’s finely tuned combat system to make the most of their skills – seamlessly blending strong, weak and throwing manoeuvres together before finding an opening to unleash a unique jutsu move. And although such special moves will run down your Chakra gauge, the effects should prove your boldness well worthwhile.
As well as fighting in versus brawls, Naruto Shippuden: Clash of Ninja Revolution 3 invites you to aim for the top in five scoring-based challenge modes or become part of the story arc that played out in the first series of the Naruto Shippuden television series. Success in story mode will see you progressing past one enemy after another as you uncover an intriguing plot and face increasingly difficult opponents and menacing bosses.
For the first time in the series, you can also carry the fight to the world by heading online via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection* and competing against another player. Victory online will earn you points and propel you up the rankings, but with the option of challenging players you’ve added to your Friend Roster as well as random opponents, there are plenty of would-be ninjas out there determined to keep you down. If you’d rather learn the ropes first, you can always avoid ranked battles and take part in unranked contests until you’re ready to unleash your skills on the big stage.
*Please note, unfortunately the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection service, which allows for the online features of this game, is currently not available in South Africa.
